Rosentreter passed away of natural causes on 14 March 2014 at the age of 96. He was born in Chicago IL of Polish parents on 1 September 1917. He retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel after serving 28 years active duty. He then worked as a civilian for a short time at the United States Air Force Security Service San Antonio Tx. He is survived by his wife Beverly Rosentreter step-daughter Cheryl Booher daughter and son-in-law Rita and Joe Seegers and son and daughter-in-law Doug and Kris Rosentreter of Houston. He will be buried at a graveside ceremony to be attended by his immediate family on 19 March at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. There will be a memorial service details pending at the Northwest Hills United Methodist Church located at 7575 Tezel.
