This marriage is from 28 Oct 1781. At that time, Schokken was still under the Polish kingdom and was not part of the First Partition of Poland, which gave West Prussia and the Netze (River) District to Prussia. For this area, it is important to understand events in the context of when they occurred. The record states that on the 28 Oct 1781 married Peter Rosentreter, bachelor and second son of the "Wirth" [landlord, farmer] Friedrich Rosentreter in Gramsdorf, with the maiden Susanna Stewenau, middle daughter of the "Wirth" Michael Stewenau at Bärenbusch.
