    • Leonard Albert Rosentreter passed away peacefully at the age of 97 years on November 27, 2018. Len was born in Pine Creek, Manitoba on August 13, 1921. He was the third of four children of the late Edward and Hilda Rosentreter.
      Len set off on his own to Rutland, BC in 1945. Len met Vi and they were married in Kelowna on June 7, 1949, and as of 2018 they were happily married for 69 years.
      Len will be sadly missed by his wife Vi, sons; Dennis (Sylvia), Wayne (Janice), Ken (Dianne), and Terry (Janet). He also has 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
      Funeral services were held on Monday December 3, 2018 at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, 4303 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon, BC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vernon Funeral Home.

      Rosentreter family history recorded in this book. An article by Olga Burg titled "Rosentreter, Edward and Hilda" is found on pages 463 and 464 describing Olga's memories of growing up in Manitoba and Saskatchewan with a picture of Hilda with spinning and woolspun and a picture of Edward and Hilda's children as adults. An article about the school that the Rosentreter children attended titled "St. Benedict School District #1102" is found on page 68 through 70. This article includes a picture of the school, pictures of the students, and a roster of attendees during 1904 to 1960. An article by Catheryn Renneberg titled "School Day Reflections" on pages 70 and 71 describe her memories of that school.
