Rosentreter, 99, of Cheyenne, formerly of Laramie, died Dec. 13 at United Medical Center in Cheyenne. She as born June 15, 1906, in Namsos, Norway, the daughter of Lars and Marie (Iversdatter) Hoel. She came to the United States at the age of 12 and was at Ellis Island for three weeks before being released to come to Laramie. She married Sven Peterson, and they had three children. After Sven's death, she later married Bruno Rosentreter. While in Laramie, she worked at various jobs over the years. She worked at the University of Wyoming and later Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She lived in Laramie until 1985 when she moved to Cheyenne. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cheyenne. She is survived by a son, G. Henry Peterson of Cheyenne; two daughters, Thelma S. Wetzler of Cheyenne and Edna L. Kunkel of Laramie; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Sven and later Bruno; eight brothers; five sisters and a great-grandson. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Casperson officiating.
