Bernard ‘Skip' Edward Rosentreter March 9, 1920 – July 4, 2009 Boise Bernard ‘Skip' Rosentreter, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Valley View Retirement Center in Boise. Skip was born on March 9, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph E. and Imilda Reinhardt Rosentreter. He was one of three children. Skip served two years in the U.S. Navy during WWII, then returned to the University of Illinois to complete his bachelor's degree. He worked as an accountant in Chicago until his retirement. He and his wife Janice relocated to Sun City West, Arizona several years later. Skip is survived by his six children, Gary Rosentreter (Connie) of Simsbury, CT; Joan Kutyba of Chicago, IL; Roger Rosentreter (Ann) of Boise, ID; John Rosentreter of Boise, ID; Jay Rosentreter of Boise, ID; and Jeff Rosentreter (Rene) of Pocatello, ID; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and siblings, Skip was preceded in death by Janice, his wife of 60 years. At his request, visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on July 8, 2009 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 North Cloverdale Road, Boise.
