      Obituary

      Lincoln resident Beverly ‘Bev’ Ann Leach, 74, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Sumner Place.

      Funeral service is 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 21, 2021, with visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, August 20, 2021, both at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 R Street. Burial is 2:30 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Dannebrog, Nebraska.

      Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.

      Bev was born October 15, 1946, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold M. and Darrell A. (Dennis) Rosentrater. She graduated from Arnold High School with the class of 1964 and attended Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, Nebraska. Bev received her degree in education from Kearney State College. She taught elementary school at the Centura Public Schools and the North Platte Public Schools. Bev married Jerry Leach on June 2, 1978, at the First Baptist Church in Dannebrog, Nebraska.

      In 1981, Bev and her family moved to Michigan to begin training with New Tribes Missions, two years later they moved to Durant, Mississippi to continue their training and in 1985, moved to Camdenton, Missouri and completed their training. In the summer of 1985, Jerry passed away. Bev stayed at New Tribes Missions and taught pre-school to children of the young missionaries coming through the program.

      Bev moved to Arnold, Nebraska in 1991 to care for her mother and in 2007, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be closer to her family. She was a member of North Point Community Church in Lincoln, Nebraska where she was involved in the women’s groups and supported missionaries. Bev volunteered at the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching, and making blankets and stuffed animals.

      Bev is survived by her children, Scott (Lori) Leach and their children, Ian, Jared, and Tiffani all of Springfield, MO, Sheri (David) Quirie and their children, Micah and Adria all of Lincoln, NE, and Sarah (Brian) Danielson and their children, Joseph and Nalani all of Kearney, NE; brother, Darwin (Judy) Rosentrater of Haxtun, CO; sister, Cathi (Matt) Wagner of Lincoln, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Dennis Rosentrater and Eugene Rosetrater.
