    Notes
    • DANIEL ROSENTRETER 1920 2015 It is with heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Daniel Rosentreter at the young age of 94, on January 8, 2015, surrounded by family who loved and cherished him dearly. Dad met the true love of his life, Lillie Selch, and they were married on April 27, 1946. Through that love they built a home in 1947, and lived there together until a few days before his passing. Dad was an active member of the Green Bay Church, and sang in the choir for 30 years. He loved working outside on his tractor (Oliver), and especially enjoyed doing all types of work for people with his backhoe, which he always called Alice. His greatest pleasure was having all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren home for birthdays and at Christmas. Dad loved to play his guitar and sing songs with Mom and his brother Bill and Phyllis. When Dan was 80 years old, he actually recorded two CD's with the help of his nephew and great nephew, giving all of his children the pleasure of having Dad sing for us the rest of our lives. Dan leaves to mourn his beautiful wife of 68 years of marriage Lillie, his seven children: Lloyd (Irene), Gordon (Bonnie), Fred (Ilene), Annette (Vern), Cindy (Bob), Norine (Donnie), and Tim (Michelle); 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Partyka and all the nurses and staff at the Beausejour Hospital, who showed such loving care and compassion to our Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beausejour Hospital T.V. Fund, Box 1614, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0, or CancerCare at Pinawa Hospital, Box 220, Pinawa, MB R0E 1L0. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 16 with viewing one hour prior.
