She was born Oct. 7, 1913, at Brady to Gustav and Minnie Rosentrater. She graduated from Brady High School in 1932, attended Kearney State Teacher's College and taught school north of Brady in the Wickstrom District for two years. She married Harold Leland Blede on a Sunday afternoon, Jun. 12, 1936, in a ceremony performed in the Methodist church by Rev. R E. Daughetee. . Blede was a member of the United Methodist Church of Brady, the United Methodist Women, the Brady Lioness organization and the Lincoln County Extension Board. She was the first den mother of the Brady Cub Scouts. Survivors include her husband of Brady; a son Raymond (Carol) of Brady; a sister, Elsie Files of North Platte; three grandchildren and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and two brothers. Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
