Burial Taylor City Cemetery. --------------------------- Mathilda Pauline Rosentreter was baptized September 8, 1895, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton, Bosque County, Texas, and she was confirmed April 12, 1908, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shive, Hamilton County, Texas. Mathilda Rosentreter married Charlie Senkel on April 11, 1912, in Shive, Hamilton County, Texas. They lived their married life at Thrall, Williamson County, Texas, where they farmed and were members of St. John Lutheran Church of Thrall. They had no children. They were married 68 years. OBITUARY FROM THE TAYLOR NEWSPAPER: Mathilda Senkel Mathilda Pauline Senkel, 98, Thrall, died Saturday, May 4, 1991 in Sweetbriar Nursing Home in Taylor. . Senkel was born April 6, 1893 at Womack, the daughter of August and Wilhelmina (Bode) Rosentreter. For most of her life, she had lived in Thrall, where she was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Her husband, Charlie Senkel, preceded her in death in 1980. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Sauer officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor City Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Adeline Riewe of Pflugerville and a brother, Henry Rosentreter of Hamilton. ************************************************************************ Mathilda Rosentreter Senkel was preceded in death by her parents, August and Wilhelmine Bode Rosentreter; her husband, Charlie Senkel; four brothers, August Rosentreter, Louis Rosentreter, Julius Rosentreter and Charlie Rosentreter; and six sisters, Wilhelmine Rosentreter Kopp, Anna Rosentreter Zettler, Alwine Rosentreter Zettler, Sophie Rosentreter Feldmann, Albertine Rosentreter Feldmann, and Lillie Rosentreter Riewe.
