| 14037 | Theory of Michael Musolf For the following reasons I assume that Peter Rosentreter (* 01/27/1737 Lichnau, + 6.10.1803 Lichnau) is the father of Peter Rosentreter: The death entry from the KB Lichnau 1803/0017 fits exactly to Peter Rosentreter (*27.01.1737 LIchnau) => age of 67 years. Peter Rosentreter (*1747 Lichnau) is therefore eliminated. The death entry notes that the death of son Peter Rosentreter has been reported. I didn't find any other Peter Rosentreter in LIchnau's KB who would be a possible son. | Rosentreter, Peter (I0802)

| 14042 | There is confusion with 2 death records. I can only find one Carl birth listed in the Walsleben records so it must be the same person. I think the second death record is a later recorded one as he appears to be in the army. From Ursula Rosentreter nee Heider The death certificate from 1897 was signed by his wife! In my opinion, this should be the right one! Perhaps the person who died in 1916 had false papers? According to his death certificate, the alleged Carl from 1916 lived in an “Almshouse”, which supports my theory…. | Rosenträger, Carl Wilhelm (I5351)

| 14043 | There was no shortage of well-known and respected personalities among the clergy and teachers, including: in the years 1588 to 1599 an outstanding, albeit controversial, representative of Lutheran Orthodoxy and supervisor of the school system Benedikt Morgenstern Johann Borawski (Barawski. Zbarawski, 1618-1624 ) - a poet and courtly preacher of the royal sister Anna Vasa in her residence in Strasburg (Brodnica), Severin Rosentreter (1632-1665) - participant of the famous Colloquium Charitativum in Thorn in 1645, Otto Matthesius (1656-1659) - Graduated from the Jesuit schools in Vilnius and the universities in Königsberg and Rostock Johann Herbinius (1677-1679) - an esteemed theologian,Pedagogue and philanthropist Johann Moneta (1692-1696) - author of a textbook for Polish grammar and Jacob Schmidt - editor of a revised edition of the Polish Danzig Bible in the 18th century. After Graudenz was occupied by Prussia as a result of the first partition of Poland in 1772, a small church was inaugurated on the market in 1785, where services were held in Polish for some time. Most of the construction was financed by Friedrich II. In the years 1896 to 1898 the too small Friedrichskirche was replaced by a large parish church in today's Mickiewicza-Str. replaced (currently Roman Catholic). The majority of the inhabitants of Graudenz were Protestants, they also owned a large garrison church (built between 1897 and 1900, destroyed during World War II). The construction of a third church was also planned. A modern meeting house and the city mission had large halls, and there were also some charity halls and cemeteries. | Rosentreter, Severin (I8541)

| 14049 | This close up snip is a death record from FHL Microfilm 1194721 for the Evangelical church at Jankendorf, Kreis [County] Chodziesen, Grand Duchy Posen, Prussia. From 1817 to 1840, the "Evangelical" church in Prussia was a merged union, imposed by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, between Lutheran and Calvinist Reformed elements. The King was a Calvinist. After his death in 1840, "Evangelisch" refers to the mainstream Lutheran church again. This record states the following: On 11 Dec 1822, in the night at 11 o'clock at "Podstollitz" [Podstolitz], the widow Susanna Rosentreter born [maiden name blank, but was Stewenau] died. She was age 73, or born about 1749. She was described as an "Einwohnersfrau," or inhabitant or resident's wife. She died of "Alterschwäche," or old age, infirmity. Her death was reported by the "Wirth" [landlord, farmer] Franz Düsterhoeft, who was my 3rd-great-grandfather. Susanna would have been his mother-in-law, although it is not specifically described here. | Stewenau, Susanna (I4914)
|
| 14050 | This close up snip is also from FHL Microfilm 1194721 for the Evangelical church at Jankendorf, Kreis Chodziesen, Grand Duchy Posen, Prussia. On 15 Feb 1827 at midday 1 o'clock in Jankendorf, Peter Rosentreter died. He was age 35 years, 9 months, so he was born about May 1791. He was an "Einwohner," meaning an inhabitant or resident. His father was a "Wirth in Nowieske," meaning a landlord or farmer in that place, Peter Rosentreter. The mother was Susanna born "Stevenau" {Stewenau], so they were my 4th-great-grandparents and this deceased young Peter was a younger brother of my 3rd-great-grandmother, Anna Justine (Rosentreter) Düsterhoeft. Young Peter died of "Abzehrung," meaning consumption or tuberculosis. Peter's death was reported by his widow, Anna Justine born "Sawal" [Sawall]. He was survived by his wife and one minor age daughter. | Rosentreter, Peter Johann Jnr (I4917)

| 14051 | This close up snip is from FHL Microfilm 1194721 for the Evangelical (Lutheran) church at Jankendorf, Kreis (County) Chodziesen (later Kolmar by 1878), Grand Duchy Posen, Prussia. This was the death of my 3rd-great-grandmother, the widow Anna Justine Düsterhoeft born Rosentreter. She died on 24 Mar 1829 at 7 o'clock in the morning at "Podstollitz" [Podstolitz] at the age of 44. So, she was born about 1785 and I have not yet found her birth and baptismal record, but verified her parents in a different fashion. Anna Justine was described as a "Wirthsfrau," meaning the wife of a landlord or farmer. Terminology varied by region across German lands. She died of "hitzige Krankheit," or feverish sickness. Her death was reported to the church by her stepson, Daniel Düsterhoeft. | Rosentreter, Anna Justine (Justina) (I4915)

| 14052 | This couple were also associated withan Anna Sophia Bayer nee Daube. They are listed as sponsors for a few of her children. She may have previously been married to a Rosentreter as one record crosses out Rosentreter and then writes Daube. They probably left Wolmar in 1801 as the next son for Anna Sophia in 1802 does not list Rosentreters. They both show up as witnesses for a Spohr and Llaftin baptisms in 1818 | Family (F4493)

| 14053 | This document is a letter of nobility from the God of Marriage, Hymen (Hÿmenäus), made as a kind of joke for the wedding (possibly as part of the Best Man’s speech) of Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louisa Caroline Rauschard in 1797. Letters patent of nobility for the Royal Prussian Government Councillor Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard Dispensed We Hymen, the First by the Grace of God, God of Marriages, Emperor of all Emperors, King of all Kings, and Lord of all Lords and Ladies, no matter what names they have, near and far, Arch Torchbearer of the holy realm of love, and Prince-Elector, Sovereign Duke of all married in the East, West, South and North etc. etc. We publicly confess with this letter, and make known to everyone, how well We, out of imperial royal high and dignity, wherein the Almighty has set Us according to his divine will, are also always inclined, out of Our innate goodness and benevolence, to consider and promote the honor, benefit, acceptance and best of all and every one of Our and the Holy Realm’s subjects and faithful; thus, Our imperial royal mind is justly more moved to communicate Our grace and gentleness to those, also to elevate their names and tribes to higher honor and dignity, also to provide them with special Our imperial royal graces and freedoms, who are endowed with good morals and right virtues, also with special reason and intellect, and who have consistently proven themselves to be faithful subjects of Our realms, suitable, proper and due. When We then graciously looked at, perceived and considered the charming virtues of mind, chastity, honesty, uprightness, also noble manners, pleasant nature and reason, which became famous before Us with Our and the realm’s dear faithful, Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard, and which have drawn Our imperial royal mind to both of them, and have driven Us to send Our and Our Realm’s faithful much beloved Lord Brother Cupido directly to them five years ago, and to kindle in them the fire of an honest upright love and inclination towards each other, which they have remained unwaveringly until now with firm and unshakable loyalty and constancy, to Our special gracious good pleasure, and have not allowed themselves to be turned away from it by anything; likewise, the pleasant, faithful, obedient and undaunted services that their ancestors proved Us at all times and in all important tasks for many long years for the special benefit and immortal glory of Our Realm, whose footsteps they can, may and should praisefully follow, persevere in such fidelity and steadfastness, and continue to do so most humbly. Thus, with well-considered courage, good counsel and right knowledge, We have granted the grace and freedom to the named Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard, and have deigned to elevate them to the nobility of Our realm, in such a way and manner that they will be considered equal in all respects to the nobility living in Our Realm, and will be added and assimilated to its community, society and guild, they shall also enjoy, possess and rejoice all the rights, privileges, pardons, immunities, liberties, by whatever name they may be, both present and future, which all other nobles and respective spouses loyal to Us and Our Realm enjoy. And in order to further increase the testimony and remembrance of such Our grace and elevation to the status and degree of nobility of Our realms, We have graciously permitted them to bear the following coat of arms and jewel. Namely, a simple escutcheon, the green field of which is sown with roses, on which rest two golden R’s tightly intertwined and interlaced. The open tournament helmet is covered with a sky-blue cushion, on which stands an erect column divided into black and white. The mantling is rose-red and gold. As such coat of arms and jewel is then painted in the midst of this letter of Ours and is actually painted out with colours, and give them the grace and the right to bear and use such coat of arms and jewel from now on, and in doing so they may remember not only of Our imperial royal grace, but also of their hopes, which are indicated by the green colour of the shield, their perfect and blooming happiness, which already lies in their name, and is denoted by the scattered roses, on which the intimately intertwined first letters of their name tread or rest, indicating their golden union, by which they are, as it were, melted together into one; their constancy combined with gentleness, and the firm duration of their present affections and resolutions, whereunto the pillar standing erect on a sky-blue frill, and marked with the colour of her bridal ornaments, may remind. All by imperial royal power and perfection, essentially in virtue of this letter, and mean, set and will that now for this purpose often named Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard be for and for ever true noblemen and respective spouses, and by everyone in all places and ends, in all and every actions, transactions and things, spiritual and secular, shall be so held, honoured, called, known, thought of and written, and shall have and possess all and every grace, honour, dignity, liberty, advantage, right, justice, as custom and good usage, tribe and tournament ability to shame and earnestness of which their nobility of Our realm has used from time immemorial and may still use, own and possess. However, in order that it may be all the more evident of Our imperial and royal gracious disposition and the special affection and pleasure with which the said Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard are regarded, we have freely and graciously willed to reward them mutually and reciprocally with and among each other. We have therefore bestowed in Our rightful honour, and also lend with this letter of Ours, to the several times mentioned Traugott David Rosentreter, a right honest spouse of 23 years, of slender stature, as carried by Our much-loved sisters Aglaja, Thalia and Euphrosine, Our dear, Our dear, Our dear, with such a graceful divine highness, and blond hair, gifted with an excellent mind and adorned with all the pertinences belonging to a perfect consort, clothed in the lily colour of innocence, and namely we lend him in such a way and so that he may take this spouse henceforth completely in possession and use it to his best advantage for eternity, but with the modesty that he may not alienate either the whole or one of the parts, in whatever way that may be, as dear to him is Our imperial Grace. In the same way, We have also bestowed a rightful fiefdom, and by virtue of this letter of Ours, we bestow upon the several times mentioned Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard, a husband of 30 years of age, who is well founded and experienced in law, and who has therefore been appointed by His Dear Royal Majesty in Prussia to be the most highly trusted Government Councillor in his principality of Ansbach, of good build and physique, round face, a friendly and inviting countenance, brown eyes, black-brown hair, with all those characteristics, peculiarities and perfections which have attracted her heart to him, and have impelled her to choose him as her lover, in such a way and manner that she may possess, use, and employ him for her benefit in the quality of a true husband, according to her own pleasure, and that to date and for ever, so that no one of any standing or dignity, kind or condition, may, with some right, lay claim to him; but in such a way that she holds him dear and worthy, and adheres to him with all loyalty, as befits, be proper and is due to a faithful subject of Our realm. And in order that Our gracious disposition and pleasure in the said Our faithful, Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard, may be all the better recognised, We have issued Our gracious order for the constant kindling of mutual love and affection between the thickly praised spouses, to Our much beloved Lord Brother Cupido, by virtue of which, as Our Realm’s permanent Chargé d’Affaires, he shall frequently intercede with them, and seduce them to Our continual grace and favour. And so that Our grace and favour may shine forth all the more clearly, We promise to bless the above-mentioned Traugott David Rosentreter and Johanne Louise Caroline Rauschard with all kinds of lovely blessings, abundantly and superfluously, and to start it a date within a year and to continue it annually. In 1705 he became the rifle brother, in the same year he was also the best in weekly shooting and at the same time the chief rifle master. He also holds the office of court lord at one of the hospitals in Aschersleben. From 1733 until his death he was a member of the city council, as deputy councilor. In 1721 he is named as the owner of his father's house on "Breite Straße", which was changed to "Hinter dem Turm" during the Thirty Years' War. From this time it is reported that the general Wallenstein stayed in Aschersleben from the end of 1625 to the end of 1626 and lived in the Rosentreter house. The Rosentreter family comes from Stolp (Western Pomerania), from where Andreas Rosentreter, the father of Johann Andreas, comes to Aschersleben and settles there as a Beutler (manufacturer of leather goods). In 1649 he became the rifle brother and in 1658 the chief rifle master. In addition, he managed the treasury at Sankt Stephanie and is later also a member of the council, to which he belonged in 1665 as a wine wholesaler and in 1668 and 1671 as a builder. Andreas Rosentreter, born in 1606, married Catharina Mertens, the wife of the Beutler Andreas Lux (also written as Lucas), on October 5th, 1629. Her parents were Paul and Margarete Mertens, née Belwen. She was baptized in Aschersleben on June 10th, 1601 and buried in Aschersleben on June 14th, 1664. In his second marriage in 1665, Andreas Rosentreter married the 26-year-old Maria Specht, daughter of Mayor Johannes Specht. In his third marriage in 1669 he married the 23-year-old Anna Bertram, daughter of David Bertram. According to the birth certificate (old calendar), Andreas Rosentreter is the son of Balzer Rosentreter (Bürger, Beutler, Krämer and Altermann in Stolp) and his wife Dorothea, née Kunsse. As a genealogical peculiarity it should be noted here that the first wife of the father of Johann Andreas Rosentreter (Chatarina Mertens) was the sister of the great-grandfather of his wife Margarethe Dorothea Corthym. This big generation leap came about due to the fact that Johann Andreas father was already 66 years old when his son was born. | Rosentreter, Andreas (I4934)

| 14337 | Uli Bonin Married with Elisabeth Lotz on January 18 (?), 1792 in Graudenz (Protestant military parish) Elisabeth and probably also Joseph came from the area of Tuchel and they are protestants/lutherans. He should have died before his widow's marriage to Franz Grünwald on July 11, 1802 in Schlagenthin, Lichnau-parish. Franz Grünwald and Elisabet née Lotz, widowed Rosentreter, are my 4x great-grandparents. | Family (F2605)

| 14338 | Uli took the birth year of Wilhelm Wilke from the marriage record of Lichnau parish.
