Obituary of . Charles Witthuhn, Who Died at Denver, Colo., June 11th
Ida Rosentrater was born June 28, 1881, and died June 11, 1944, at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 17 days. She was born in Charnikau, Germany, and came to Lincoln, Nebraska, with her parents as an infant. She spent her childhood and young womanhood in the vicinity of Lincoln.
She was united in marriage to Charles Witthuhn October 9, 1901. To this union were born nine children, Albert, Carence (spelling?), and George of Denver ; Melvin of North Platte, Nebr.; Naomi Seiler and Mildred Edwards of Denver; Evelyn Newth and Dorothy Fisher of Venango, Nebr. Charles Ray died in infancy.
After their marriage Mr. and . Witthuhn lived in Harden County, Iowa. Here . Witthuhn was converted to the Christian faith at their own family altar. Later they moved to Custer county, Nebr., where they united with the Evangelical church in 1906.
In 1911 they moved to Madrid, Nebr., where . Witthuhn helped to organize the Pilgrim Holiness church, of which she became a charter member.
In 1931 the Witthuhns moved to Phillips county, Colo., and in 1943 to Denver. She transferred her membership to the Pilgrim Holiness church in that city. The church will indeed miss her in a marked degree, as her presence was a great inspiration to all. Especially will the members of her church remember her last testimony, given just two weeks prior to her death.

Witthuhn leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, and all the children; her brothers and sisters, Mike, William, and Albert Rosentrater of Arnold, Nebr., Fred of Tabor Iowa, John of Lincoln; Louise and Mary Witthuhn of Tabor, Iowas, Martha Ptacek of Kearney, Nebr., Annice Rosentrater of Tabor, Iowa. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren.
Two daughters, Mildred Edwards and Dorothy Fisher were in the hospital unable to attend the funeral.
