Alwine Julianna Friederike Rosentreter was baptized November 9, 1884, by Pastor Rudolf Jaeggli at Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville, Washington County, Texas. Her baptismal sponsors were Wilhelm Rosenbaum, . Alvine Homeyer, . Julianna Luedke, and Friedrich Richards. Alwine Rosentreter was confirmed August 27, 1904, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aleman, Hamilton County, Texas.

. Zettler
. Alwine Zettler, 99, a resident of Hillcrest Nursing Home the past three years, died at the Hamilton General Hospital Sunday, Jan. 2. Funeral services were held in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Shive at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, with the Rev. Wilburn Kensing officiating.
Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Riley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Alton Gromatzky, Verner Gromatzky, Wesley Waedekin, William Bubert, Luther Nichter and Gary Nichter.
. Zettler was the daughter of August and Wilhelmine Bode Rosentreter. She was born at Zionsville, (Washington County), Texas, Dec. 20, 1883. She came to Hamilton County 85 years ago. On Dec. 29, 1904, she married John Zettler at Aleman. He passed away May 31, 1959. One son, Henry Zettler, also preceded her in death. . Zettler was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Shive.
Survivors include six daughters, . Annie Nichter of Arlington, . Emma Bubert, . Vena Waedekin, . Lena Gromatzky, . Ella Jahns, and . Malinda Bosse, all of Hamilton; one daughter-in-law, . Ruby Pate of Sterling City; three sisters, . Matilda Senkel of Thrall, . Lena Riewe of Pflugerville and . Lillie Riewe of Newburg; two brothers, Charlie Rosentreter and Henry Rosentreter, both of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Alwine Rosentreter Zettler was preceded in death by her parents, August and Wilhelmine Bode Rosentreter; her husband, John Zettler; her son, Henry Zettler; her brothers, August, Louis, and Julius Rosentreter; and her sisters, Wilhelmine Kopp, Annie Zettler, Sophie Feldmann, and Albertine Feldmann.
